Data
How was the information obtained?
Data collected originate from various departments of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), spanning the years 2014 to 2019. These populations have been categorized according to their affiliations within UNAM, including students, non-academic staff, academics, researchers, and others.
Our research team includes diverse professionals: medical experts, psychologists, biologists, pharmacobiologists, phlebotomists, among others. These professionals underwent comprehensive training to ensure the optimal execution of their roles, encompassing tasks such as administering questionnaires, conducting laboratory analyses, and performing anthropometric measurements. Questionnaire data collection was conducted using FoxPro (2014) and the LimeSurvey tool (2015 to present).
Populations
We investigate four distinct populations:
- Academic and non-academic staff of UNAM: 1076 subjects
- Ongoing monitoring of the academic and non-academic staff population of UNAM: 140 individuals to date.
- UNAM students: Over 700 students from various faculties and academic levels, ranging from undergraduate to postdoctoral.
- Subjects with Diabetes Mellitus: A cohort of 100 individuals with diabetes presenting diverse durations, treatments, and levels of control.
